Golf Swing - Getting The Basics Right |
| |
Your golf swing is the most important facet of your game. For
a golf player to extract the maximum enjoyment
and satisfaction from a round of golf he or she
needs to be an expert in all aspects of the game especially the golf swing.
Most golfers take their sport very seriously and
are driven by an ambition to constantly prove
and polish their golf swing and in certain
cases, their profession in order to get back the
maximum from it.
One of the most important aspects in playing golf
is achieving the maximum power and accuracy from
their golf swing. The golf swing, for many golfers,
is the most important part of their play. |
|
For this
reason, they are ready to spend as much time and money
as it takes to get their golf swing as perfect as possible.
Golfers already know that in order to achieve and maintain
the perfect golf swing they need to acquire the correct
stance. This means back straight, and hunched over the
shot. The hands should be clasped tightly and correctly
to avoid the possibility of “slicing” the
shot.
Every golfer has their own unique stance, and usually
only hours of practice and refinement will lead the
player to tailor tune their stance to reach the ultimate
goal of the perfect golf swing. |
| |
Along
the way, there is no harm in seeking help and
advice, be it from the local golf professional,
studying other golfers in action, either live
or on television, or even downloading training
videos from the internet.
The first phase in acquiring this much sought
after goal is to have a back swing powerful enough
to achieve the maximum trajectory when the club
strikes the ball. |
|
Perfection
in a golf swing is arriving at that split second when
the face of the club strikes the ball at maximum speed
and at exactly the correct angle that the ball will
leave the tee traveling as fast and as straight as an
arrow.
If this is achieved, then perfection will follow. The
only thing left that the golfer has to take care of
is their follow through, which has to be delivered with
the same passion as the back swing.
Players, who “stilt” their follow through,
might pay the price in accuracy of their shot. |
